Albert Griffiths is feelin' irie and he knows a thing or two about keeping a crowd properly locked into a one drop roots reggae groove. This French crowd is in fine spirits singing along to classics like Stick A Bush, Bellyful, and others from the roots classic Trenchtown Mix Up album. This show from 2001 when Albert was still fronting the band. Today I believe The Gladiators are touring with Albert's son carrying on the torch, which is great, but let's be clear that it is not the same Gladiators without Albert. Albert and his French fans show much love for one another. "Frappez les mains"!

Fantastic dvd; this was filmed in France, and apparently the French know a thing or two about roots reggae. Excellent sound quality, and solid camera work as well. I first saw The Gladiators at the Bob Marley Festival this past February 07 in San Diego; I highly recommend that any true reggae lover buy this immediately!!! You won't be disappointed.
