For any Pendergrass fans, this is such a great show and really gives you the feeling of being there live. It is a wonderful show and one that I am glad we will have to see over again.

Hello, I see it says CLosed Captioned listed for this DVD up top near the Picture of Teddy. However having had a few DVD's that have this listed on this site and even ON THE BOX! when I open it and bring up on TV as it starts up, there isnt any closed captioned choices on the menu. Yes I know how to find it. I have been using CC for some 10 years now. its not me of my tv. If it does not say it on the menu then it doesnt have it. even if it says it on the back of the box. so if anyone can play it for me and try it, then I can buy it if so, let me know, thank you in advance.

I never had the pleasure of seeing Teddy live and was looking forward to enjoying the DVD. I did enjoy it and I'm happy with my purchase. Now, for some of my opinions. The sound is good not great. The background singers wear some awful monk like outfit. I've watched several soul/R&B singers whose concerts were filmed in Vegas or Tahoe and those audiences in my opinion are too subdued. I'm not even sure some of them even knew who the artist, before they got tickets. Teddy really has to work hard to win them over, which he eventually does. But understanding how performers feed off their audiences I would love to see Teddy sing in front of his true fans. There are a couple of times Teddy walks away from the stage and you can't hear a word he says. You also learned that Teddy can not dance.

If you haven't got a chance to see T.P. perform live (like so many of us) you won't be dissapointed. This is a must have for any old school R&B fan. Teddy wows with his vocal abilities and his performance, there is also a couple of times in which he plays percussions. If you've heard the live album that he released back in the day you would think that this is the same performance but it's not. It just goes to show the consistant nature of a great performer. Teddy sounds just like all of his recordings and the TP GROWL is effortless!

WHAT'S THE OLD SAYING--"SEEK AND YEE SHALL FIND"...WELL MY WISH HAS COME TRUE--CAUSE I'VE ALWAYS WISHED I COULD SEE A LIVE PERFORMANCE OF TEDDY P--AND THIS DVD IS SO ON POINT (JUST LEFT ME WANTING MORE AND MORE)THIS IS WHAT YOU CALL A "MAN" IN ACTION, EVERY GROOVE IS SO SOULFULLY NATURAL--NOT LIKE TODAYS YOUNG "UPSTARTS" AND (THE "SORRY" "RAPPERS") --THAT DON'T "EVEN KNOW" HOW TO COMPARE TO REAL SOLID GOLD SOUL. HE WAS SO SPECIAL IN HIS STYLE THAT HE "CAN NOT" BE DUPLICATED----JUST LIKE THE JAMES BROWN--JACKIE WILSON--OTIS REDDING---CHUCK BERRY---LITTLE RICHARD---BB KING---I CALL THEM THE "UNTOUCHIBLES"---CAUSE ALL U CAN DO IS TRY TO IMMITATE (ESPECIALLY THE CAUCASION GROUPS YOUNG AND OLD) CAUSE U CAN'T DUPLICATE SUCH A GIFT FROM GOD.
